... I've tried to share files between one computer with Vista (Home Basic) and another with Windows 98 SE in a home network without success. I can see the two computers both between XP/Vista and between XP/Win98. Still between Vista and Win98 does not work. Anyone that can explain why or know a workaround ?

Is it true that that the matching accounts on Win98 and Vista must be "Guest" with a blank password on Win98? (Perhaps, instead, the matching accounts rule only You can raise privilege level in the Guest account, using the LSP Editor, and permissions in the shares. My home network has 3 PC's, 1 running Win98 (yes, Win98), 1 machine running WinXP Home and the third running Vista Home Premium.
